One Day my Prince will Come

One Day my Prince will Come is a work around the social construction of gender  in Disney Fairytales. The Princess is presented as beautiful, passive, and eternally waiting for her Prince Charming; himself presented as equally beautiful, strong, loyal, perfect, and on his way to rescue her. In this co-creation, Julia Barrette-Laperrière et Sébastien Provencher  enthousiastically allie danse, discourse and performance in an esthetic where beauty and absurdity run alongside, where the ‘‘cheap’’ is sacred and where the Dollar Store becomes a temple.
